Product Safety & Recalls

Products sold to Australian customers must be safe and comply with applicable Australian product-safety laws, mandatory standards and bans. Our general guidance does not replace the instructions for the exact product and variant.

Before and during use

  • Choose a product suited to your dog’s size, behaviour and experience.
  • Inspect the product, seams, fasteners and removable parts before every use.
  • Use suitable food or treats and follow product-specific cleaning instructions.
  • Supervise use unless verified instructions clearly state otherwise.
  • Remove the product when the activity is finished.
  • Stop use immediately if a part becomes loose, damaged, sharp or small enough to swallow.

Chewing, ingestion or illness

No dog product is indestructible. If you believe material was swallowed, or your dog is injured or unwell, remove the product and seek veterinary advice promptly.

Report a safety concern

Stop using the product, keep it and its packaging, and contact Order Help with your order number, photos and a description. For a serious product-related injury, illness or death, seek urgent professional help first.

Recalls

If a product requires recall action, we will provide affected customers with practical instructions and remedies. Current Australian recall notices are available from Product Safety Australia.

Responsible use

General safety starting points

Add your verified store-wide safety content above. Product-specific guidance appears on each product page.

What should I check before each use?

Inspect the product and all parts. Confirm the setup is stable, use only suitable food or treats, and stop if anything is loose, damaged or missing.

Should I supervise my dog?

Yes, unless the verified product instructions explicitly say otherwise. Stay nearby, begin with the easiest setup and remove the product when the activity is finished.

What if my dog chews or damages the product?

Stop use immediately and remove damaged pieces. Seek veterinary advice if you think any material was swallowed or your dog is unwell.

Which instructions take priority?

The product page, packaging and manufacturer or supplier instructions for the exact product and variant take priority over general guidance.
