These terms apply when you use aussiesmate.com or purchase from Aussie’s Mate. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

ELIGIBILITY AND ACCEPTABLE USE

You must provide accurate information and have authority to use the selected payment method.

You must not misuse the website, interfere with security, introduce malicious code, scrape content unlawfully, impersonate another person or use the store for fraudulent or unlawful activity.

PRODUCT INFORMATION AND SAFE USE

We aim to describe and display products accurately. Colours and scale can vary by screen, and handmade or manufactured items can have minor non-material variation.

Read the product page, measurements, materials, care directions, age or size guidance and warnings before use. Select products appropriate for your dog’s size, behaviour and chewing style.

Supervise use where directed. Remove a product if it becomes damaged, loose or unsafe. No pet product is indestructible.

Product information is general and is not veterinary advice. Contact a veterinarian for health, dietary, behavioural or injury concerns.

PRICES, PAYMENT AND PROMOTIONS

Prices are shown in Australian dollars unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes and delivery charges are displayed before checkout. Payment must be authorised using a payment method offered at checkout.

Promotions may have eligibility, date, stock, product and use limits. Unless stated otherwise, promotions cannot be combined or exchanged for cash.

ORDERS AND ACCEPTANCE

The checkout confirmation acknowledges that Shopify received your order. It does not require us to accept an order affected by unavailable stock, an obvious pricing error, suspected fraud, an unsupported address or another legitimate supply problem.

If we cannot accept or supply an order, we will contact you and provide an appropriate refund or other solution. We may reasonably limit quantities intended for resale or misuse.

FULFILMENT AND DELIVERY

Aussie’s Mate is the retailer responsible for the customer order. Products may be dispatched directly by a supplier, fulfilment partner or warehouse on our behalf. An order may arrive in separate parcels.

The Shipping Policy forms part of these terms. Delivery estimates are not guarantees, but we will meet obligations that apply where products are delayed, unavailable or not supplied within the promised or a reasonable time.

RETURNS, REFUNDS AND CONSUMER GUARANTEES

The Refund Policy forms part of these terms. Australian consumer guarantees apply automatically and are not replaced by supplier, platform or carrier policies.

ACCOUNTS AND COMMUNICATIONS

You are responsible for protecting account access and notifying us of suspected unauthorised use.

We may send transactional communications about orders, accounts, delivery, safety or support. Marketing communications are subject to your preferences and applicable law.

REVIEWS AND USER CONTENT

If you submit a review, image or other content, it must be honest, relevant, lawful and not infringe another person’s rights.

You give Aussie’s Mate a non-exclusive licence to display, format and use that content to operate and promote the store, unless otherwise agreed.

We may moderate content for legal, privacy, safety, relevance or authenticity reasons, but will not suppress a genuine negative review merely because it is negative.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Aussie’s Mate name, branding, original text, graphics, page design and other store content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may use the store for personal shopping and information. You may not reproduce or commercially exploit protected content without permission, except as allowed by law.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS

The store relies on third-party platforms, payment providers, suppliers, carriers, review tools and other services. External websites have their own terms and privacy practices.

This clause does not reduce Aussie’s Mate’s responsibility for customer rights that apply to the sale.

AVAILABILITY AND LIABILITY

We may maintain, update or temporarily suspend parts of the website.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or caused solely by events outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in this section limits liability or remedies that cannot legally be limited.

CHANGES

We may update these terms prospectively when the store, services or law change.

The version published when an order is placed will generally apply to that order, together with any mandatory legal rights.

GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and applicable Commonwealth law. You may also have rights to bring a claim in another Australian jurisdiction where the law permits.
